Comprising 61 rooms, oversized suites and private beachfront residences nestled among lush coconut trees of Chalong Bay, Serenity Resort & Residences Phuket offers tropical elegance in a stylish and luxurious setting.
An all encompassing philosophy of distinction is expressed in every detail. At Serenity, every one of the staff is your personal concierge, attending to any and every need that may arise - an exceptional level of service that only a small luxury resort can uphold. Recently joining the exclusive Preferred Boutique family of hotels, Serenity Resort and Residences prides itself as one of the very few Phuket hotels who can boast this badge of honour.
Blending tasteful opulence with contemporary convenience, and located in its own private and exclusive oasis, this chic hotel sits just 20 minutes away from Phuket's west coast beaches and a mere 10 minutes from a 9-hole golf course & driving range (Phunnaka) and Tesco shopping centre. Guests can choose from 23 sumptuous rooms, 37 large suites and 4 beachfront residences with private pools. All combine stylish contemporary design with authentic regional detailing. Features including oversized waterside balconies, granite kitchen work surfaces and personalized round-the-clock concierge services, augmented by the latest technology including complimentary Wi-Fi,flatscreen TVs, ipod docking stations and full entertainment centres. Nestled below shading palms at the water's edge, Balu's Bar and lounge offers guests the chance to unwind with spectacular views over Chalong Bay while East 88 beach lounge serves a delicious selection of Mediterranean and Thai food.
Serenity Resort & Residences Phuket is also ideal for private parties, weddings and executive gatherings, which can be held in one of the resort's many spectacular locations.
This resort started life as Outrigger Serenity Terraces at the end of 2009; then was rebranded Serenity Resort & Residences in mid-2010. It is privately owned, privately developed and privately managed. There are 77 units in total, including 8 pool villas, one of which is owned by Finnish racing car driver Kimi Raikkonen. Sixty-five of these units are rented out part of the time, some by the resort, others by the individual owner.
Urbo Aebi, a Swiss National, is the resort's GM. His wife is Thai, his kids go to school in Phuket and he's been based in Phuket since 1999, so you can pretty much says he's a Phuketian. He says Serenity gets weekend traffic from Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore. But the resort, fitted with many 2-bedroom units, is ideal for families, so those tending to stay for longer are just that: families. When PHUKET Magazine visited there were many kids frolicking poolside.
